Realme has announced the launch of the latest Realme 8 series, the Realme 8 and Realme 8 Pro, which will take place on March 24 in India. These phones are the successors of Realme 7 and Realme 7 Pro.
The global debut of the Realme 8 smartphones will be streamed live in India starting at 7:30 PM IST. In the Philippines, the event will begin at 10 PM PHT.
Madhav Sheth, CEO at Realme India, shared an image on Twitter showing the Realme 8's design and specs, including an Helio G95 chipset, 6.4" Super AMOLED screen, 5,000 mAh battery, and 30W Dart Charge.
The Realme 8 Pro will feature a 108MP camera and 50W fast charging, while the Realme 8 includes a 64MP AI quad-camera system. The phones will come with a punch-hole camera (top-left corner) and a square-shaped rear camera module.
Both phones are rumored to come with possibly high refresh rates coupled with 8GB RAM and 128GB of storage. The Realme 8 is speculated to come in Cyber Silver and Cyber Black, while the Realme 8 Pro may come in Infinite Black, Blue, and Illuminating Yellow.
A tweet from Realme India's CEO Madhav Sheth reveals an in-display fingerprint scanner, in addition to the Realme 8 Pro's reported 108MP camera from their teaser video. The Realme 8 series has been described as the brand's first number series to have an under-screen biometric recognition feature.
The full specifications and price of the Realme 8 series will be announced on its official launch on March 24 in India.
