According to Ookla's July 2021 Global Speedtest Index, the Philippines' internet speed has slightly improved, specifically mobile internet speeds. The Philippines increased three positions in the global ranking for mobile download speeds. Meanwhile, the country went down by one spot in fixed broadband speeds.

The Philippines now ranks 72nd globally for the Mobile category, recording an average download speed of 33.69 Mbps. The mobile upload speed was posted at 8.83 Mbps, while 31 ms is the average latency. Compared to the June ranking of 75th that listed an average download of 32.84 Mbps, 8.92 Mbps for upload, and latency of 31ms, only the download speed has increased.

For the Fixed Broadband department, the country went down by one place, now at 63rd, recording an average of 71.17 Mbps download speeds. The upload speed and latency were recorded at 71.22 Mbps and 22 ms, respectively. Despite the improvement from the 62nd position of June charts with 66.55 Mbps download, 66.86 Mbps upload, and 22ms latency, the Philippines was down by one place and was replaced by Paraguay in the 62nd spot.

PH ranks 72nd in mobile and 63rd in fixed broadband, according to the July 2021 data of the Ookla Speedtest Global Index.

The United Arab Emirates consistently topped the mobile internet ranking, having an average speed of 190.03 Mbps. For fixed broadband, Monaco once again ranked first, with an average of 256.70 Mbps download speeds.

The Speedtest Global Index for July 2021 includes 139 countries for mobile and 180 countries for fixed broadband.
