Globe 5G Roaming service expands to more areas in Europe

Globe has expanded its 5G roaming coverage in Europe with Belgium, Luxembourg, Spain, and France in order to serve Filipino travelers. Latvia, the Netherlands, and Austria are also expected to join the list in the coming weeks, bringing the total to 40 countries with Globe 5G roaming capabilities.

Globe customers traveling in Europe can now take advantage of 5G roaming through the following telecom partners: France (Bouygues), Luxembourg (Tango), Spain (Telefonica), and Belgium (Proximus). Additionally, visiting subscribers of the Netherlands' KPN, Luxembourg's Tango, Spain's Telefonica, and Belgium's Proximus may take advantage of 5G Roaming in the Philippines.

Despite the pandemic, Globe is exploring additional partnerships in various parts of the world. This will ensure that the company can meet the demands of its customers for 5G speeds once travel is once again safe.

As of end-November 2021, the telco had deployed over 2,000 5G cell sites, an increase of 88 percent over 2020.

5G technology enables increased bandwidth and speeds of up to 100 megabits per second. Its near-real-time latency allows new technologies to respond more quickly.

Globe Postpaid customers can enable 5G roaming via Globe's RoamSURF 399 data-only promo by simply turning on mobile data and data roaming in their device settings. Globe Prepaid users can subscribe via the GlobeOne or GCash mobile applications or by dialing *143# and selecting MyAccount > Roaming & Intl.

Apart from Roam Surf 399, two other Globe Roaming Promos for customers to stay connected while traveling are as follows:

1. Roam Surf Plus promo is an add-on to RoamSURF 399. For just PHP 200, it includes all-day texts and calls to all networks for postpaid subscribers and 60 texts and 60 incoming and outgoing calls for prepaid subscribers, both valid for 24 hours.

2. Roam All Net 99 is an offer available exclusively through GCash to Globe Prepaid and TM customers. It includes 30 minutes of incoming and outgoing calls, as well as 30 texts to all networks, all of which are valid for 24 hours.
