MPL squads Blacklist, Nexplay, Omega, Onic PH enter Sibol qualifiers
Team Sibol has revealed the invited Mobile Legends: Bang Bang teams competing in Phase 2 of its qualifiers in the upcoming Southeast Asian Games.
The age limit set by Vietnam SEA Games organizers is 18 years old or 17 years old (if the birthday is between January 1 - May 11, 2022). That being the case, teen players who are regulars on their respective Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League (MPL) teams will not be able to participate due to the age restriction imposed.
Reigning MLBB world champions Blacklist International, M3 Worlds runners-up Onic PH, along with Smart Communications-led Omega Esports and Nexplay EVOS, will be part of Phase 2 of the Philippine national esports team qualifiers.
Blacklist International - Sibol qualifiers lineup
Power duo Johnmar "OhMyV33nus" Villaluna and Danerie James "Wise" Del Rosario, who are both taking a one-season hiatus from the professional league, along with Salic "Hadji" Imam, are included in the Sibol qualifiers lineup of Blacklist.
Kyle Dominic "Dominic" Sotto and Lee Howard "Owl" Gonzales will replace Edward "EDWARD" Jay Dapadap and Kiel "Oheb" Soriano, who will miss the action due to the SEA Games age restrictions.
Blacklist International's coach Kristoffer "Bon Chan" Ricaplaza, assistant coach Aniel "Master the Basics" Jiandani, and Dexter Louise "Dex Star" Alaba are also on the list.
The veteran player Mark Jayson "ESON" Gerardo is not included.
Nexplay EVOS - Sibol qualifiers lineup
The Nexplay EVOS lineup includes mainstays such as Renejay "RENEJAY" Barcarse, John Paul "H2WO" Salonga, and Jhonwin "Hesa" Vergara.
Jeniel "YellyHaze" Bata-anon, the team captain and SEA Games gold medalist, will have another chance to enter the Sibol pool following his inclusion in the initial lineup in 2019.
Newcomers Marius "Donut" Tan, Michael "MP THE KING" Endino, and Kenneth "Cadenza" Castro, are included in the squad's Sibol qualifiers lineup.
Nexplay Evos coach John Michael "Zico_" Dizon is also on the list. However, another squad's coach Setsuna "AkoSiDogie" Ignacio, is not part of the lineup.
