PH's Bren Victress exits MWI after semis loss to ID's GPX

Philippines' Bren Victress bowed out of the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Women's Invitational after losing to Indonesia's GPX Basreng, 1-2, in the semifinals, January 30 (Sunday).

Bren Victress took Game 1 after dominating GPX Basreng in skirmishes and objectives. Victress capped the first match with a lord push at the 15-minute mark, posting a whopping 16-3 kill score and 10k gold advantage, leading the best-of-three series 1-0.

With impressive play and most damage dealt, Alexandria "Lexaaa" Dardo (Chang'e) was named MVP in Game 1 with 4 kills and 8 assists against 0 deaths. She also recorded 75% kill participation.

Indonesia's GPX bounced back in Game 2, as they wiped out Bren at the 10-minute mark, registering a 12-2 kill lead and making the series tied 1-1.

Chincaaw (Kimmy) delivered a superb performance in Game 2 as she was named the match MVP, tallying a 7-0-2 KDA score and kill participation rate of 75%.

GPX Basreng managed to turn the table in the do-or-die Game 3 after fending off Bren's attempt to steal their orange buff at the 18-minute mark, resulting in a four-person wipe. GPX then marched on the mid-lane with a lord push, securing the game with 17 kills against 12 of Bren.

Chincaaw (Clint) earned the MVP honors in the third game with an outstanding 7-0-4 KDA score.

Bren Victresses exited the WMI tournament in 3rd-4th place finish, earning a total of USD 1,400 (around PHP 71.5K).
