Saltong, Tagalog version of Wordle

Wordle now has a Tagalog version called Saltong. Wordle is a famous English-language word game created by Josh Wardle in October 2021. Meanwhile, Saltong, released in January 2022, is the Filipino clone of Wordle developed by Carl De Guia. Check out more details and how to play Saltong below.

How to play Saltong?

Just like Wordle, Saltong players are tasked with guessing the day's five-letter word. The official website of Saltong is saltong.carldegs.com. Here are the mechanics of the game.

1. Players are given six (6) tries to guess the Saltong word of the day.

2. Each guess must be a valid five-letter Tagalog word. Press the enter button to submit your guess.

3. After each guess, the color of the tiles will change to indicate how close your guess was to the word.

Here are the color indications:

• Green - you guessed the letter in the correct position
• Orange - you guessed the letter but in a wrong position
• Gray - the letter/s you entered is/are not in the word in any spot

After finishing the game, the platform will show the Saltong word of the day. Moreover, players can see their stats (number of Wins, Win Rate, and Win Streak). Players can also share their results via two options: email and copying the result, and they can customize it whether to include the time solved and the link or not.
