(Here is a very rare Stotra supposed   to be  the  instructions of Lord Yama  to his Dhoothas   requesting them  not to go near those  chanting this stotra..Every stanza contains   names of Lord Vishnu as well as  Lord Shiva. MAdhavo  madhava veesou    sarva sidhi vidhayinou ,

Vandhe parasparathamanau , Paraspara  nuthi priyou.

Dhyanam

I salute  Lord Vishnu  and god of Lord Vishnu who can grant all powers,

Who are   the most divine Gods who like   to pray each other

Dharma Raja  Uvacha:-

Lord Yama said:-

1.Govinda , Madhava , Mukunda , Hare , Murare ,

Shambo  , Shivesa , sasisekara  , soolapane  ,

Damadraochyutha  Janardhana  Vasudeva  ,

THayajya  bhata  ithi  santhatham  amananthi

Hey  Lord who is the chief of all cows , who is  lord of  knowledge, whogives immortal bliss , whopis Hari and enemy of Mura.

Hey Lord Shambu, Lord Shiva who had collected  the moon and one  who holds the Soola,

Oh Lord  who is tied on belly by a rope, who does not slip, Who kills those who trouble people, and the son of Vasudeva.

2.Gangadhara, anthaka ripo, Hara  Neela kanda,

Vaikunda kaidabha ripo,Kamadabja  pane ,

Bhoothesa kandaparaso, mruda  , CHandikesa,

THayajya  bhata  ithi  santhatham  amananthi

Oh Lord  who carries Ganga , who is enemy of God of death , who is Hara  and who has a blue neck,

Oh enemy of Kaidabha in Vaikunta  who holds the lotus flower  in hand with joy,

Oh lord  of Bhoothas, who cuts with an axe  , who is mruda and the consort of Chandika,

3.Vishno, Narasimha ,Madhu soodana, Chakra pane  ,

Gowripathe   gireesa  , Sankara , Chandrachooda  ,

Narayanasura nibarhana  , Sarngapane  ,

Oh Lord Vishnu  , Oh Man-lion  , killer of mAdhu  , who holds the divine wheel,

4.Mruthyunjayogra  visha bakshana , kama sathro ,

SriKantha  , peethavasanambudha, Neela soure  ,

Eesana  , kruthivasana , tridasaika nadha,

Oh Lord who won over death, who is fierce , who ate  poison  and is the enemy of God of love  ,

Oh Lord who is the consort of Lakshmi, who wears cloth of yello silk  , who is of blue colour  and who is a hero ,

Oh Lord who wields power , who wears the hide   and who is the lord of  devas  ,

5.Lakshmipathe , madhu ripo  purushothamadhya,

Sri Kanda digvasa santha  pinakapane  ,

Anandakandha  daranidara  Padmanabha  ,

Oh Lord  who is consort of Lakshmi, who is the enemy of Madhu  , who is the best among Purushas   and is the  first one  ,

Oh Lord with auspicious neck , who does not wear anything, who is peaceful and who holds bow called Pinaka,

Oh Lord who is root of joy, who carries  the earth  , who has a lotus on his  belly.

6.Sarveswara, Tripura soodana  devadeva ,

Brahmanya deva Garuda dwaja    SAnkha  pane ,

Tryaksho ragabharana balamruganga  moule  ,

THayajya  bhata ithi  santhatham  amananthi

Oh God of all, who destroyed Tripura, Who is the God of Gods ,

Oh Lord of Brahma   who has a Garuda flag  and who holds a conch in his hand,

OH with three eyes, who decorates himself with snake  and has crescent and Ganga on his head

7.Sri Rama Raghava   Remeswara Ravanare  ,

Bhoothesa manmatha ripo pramadhadhi nadha,

CHanura mardhana hrishika pathe murare ,

THayajya  bhata ithi  santhatham  amananthi

Oh Lord Rama  who belongs to clan of Raghu  , who is the lord of Lakshmi    and enemy of Ravana  ,

Oh Lord of Bhoothas , enemy of Manmatha  and lord  of Pramadhas  ,

Oh Killer of Chanura   who is the lord  of  all sages  and enemy  of Mura .

8.Sulin, GHireesa  , rajaneesakala vatamsa,

Kamsaprana nasana  sanathana  , kesi nasa  ,

Barga   trinethra  bhava  bhothapathe   purare  ,

THayajya  bhata ithi  santhatham  amananthi

Oh Lord who holds trident, who is  the  lord of mountains, who wears the crescent of  the king of the night,

Oh Lord who destroyed the soul of Kamsa, who is forever  and who destroyed  Kesi,

Oh lustrous lord who has three  eyes, who grants salvation   and is the enemy of Tripura.

9.Gopi pathe Yadhupathe  Vasudeva  soono,

Karpooragaura  , vrushadwaja  , phala nethra ,

Govardhanodharana dharma   dureena Deva  ,

THayajya  bhata ithi  santhatham  amananthi

Oh consort of Gopis  , Oh Lord of Yadhu clan , Oh son of Vasudeva ,

Oh Lord as  white as camphor , who has bull on his flag and who has eyes  on his forehead,

Oh Lord  who lifted Govardhana , who is upholder  of Dharma and who is God.

10.Sthano, trilochana  , pinakadhara  smarare ,

Krishna anirudha, kamalkara  ,kalmashare ,

Visweswara   tripatha  garthra  , jada  kalapa,

THayajya  bhata ithi  santhatham  amananthi

Oh Lord who is stable  , who has three  eyes, who holds Pinaka bow, who is the enemy of love,

Oh Lord Krishna  who is Anirydha , who holds lotus in his hand and who is the enemy of evils,

Oh Lord  of the Universe, who is praised by three Vedas  and who sports a  tufted  hair.

11.Ashtotharadhika sathena  su charu namnaam,

Sandarpitham  lalitha rathna kadambakona,

SAnnayakam  drudagunaam dwija kadakaam ya,

Kuryadhi maam  srajamaho sa yamam na   pasyeth

11.I am dedicating these  one hundred and eight  pretty names,

Which are  like  a garland  of  elegant    gems  ,

Of those  Lords who have  stable qualities so that they are in the throats of real Brahmins,

Sio that  this garland would make them never see  God of death.

Gana Ouchu

Itham dwijendra  nija bruthya ganan sadaiva,

SAmsikshaye  davanikan  sa hi DArma raja,

Anyebhiye hari hararka daraa  daraayaam,

They  dhooradha   punaraho  parivarjeeneya.

The Soldiers told

Thus  the Lord  of Dharma  taught  the king among Brahmins ,

As well  as his  own  servant groups for  the benefit of earth,

And also  these names of Hari and Hara   would make it possible to avoid,

And keep at a distance  the avoidable differences in the earth.

Agasthya Uvacha:-

Yo Dharma raja rachitham   lalitha prabandham,

Namavalim   sakala kalmasha bheeja hanthrim,

Dheerothra Kausthubha brutha   sasi bhooshanaya  ,

Nithyam Japeth sthanarasam na pibenna mathu.

Sage Agasthya  told:-

 This great   work composed  by Yama, the king of Dharma,

Consisting of rows of names would   destroy  the root of all evils

 If without neglecting these names  of the one who carries  the Kausthubha,

And who decorates himself with moon  is chanted, they would ,

Never ever   drink the  milk  of their   mothers   again.

Ithi   Sri Skanda Purabe   Kasi Kanda Purvardhe   Yamaproktham  Sri Harihara  astothara  satha nama   stotram  Sampoornam

Thus  comes to an end the 108 names of Hari and Hara  told by Yama occurring  in the first part of of Kasi Kanda which is in  Skanda Purana.
