LifeAfter's "Shelter Land" mode features cross-server gameplay

LifeAfter sees the launch of its latest game mode, "Shelter Land," on February 8, 2021. It features the first major cross-server gameplay season and a vast map with seven huge 'shelters' free to explore. To represent and honor their server, interested players can participate in the daily clashes from February 8 to 10, 2021.

LifeAfter, an open-world doomsday survival game for iOS/Android/PC, features a vast and dangerous open world with real seasons, weather events, severe infections, and harsh living conditions. To survive using the limited available resources, players need to collaborate with others. Google Play has dubbed it the Most Competitive Game of 2019.

Seven Shelters Jointly Defend Human Civilization

The new Seven Shelter Lands include Charles Shelter Land, Snowfield Shelter Land, Sand Shelter Land, Blaze Shelter Land, Storm Shelter Land, Swamp Shelter Land, and Wilderness Shelter Land. Among the seven, the Charles Shelter Land is initially controlled by the Charles Town Clash champions, while the Snowfield Shelter Land is under the Trade Federation's command. To experience its unique scenery and special resources, all players can choose to move into the Snowfield Shelter Territory. The five remaining Shelter Lands are ready to be taken, but it is a difficult job. Elite Camps Clash! Servers' Honor on the Line!

A cross-server battle between ten invited Camps from the final 16 of the Charles Town Clash will be selected to participate in the SL Showdown. Up to 4 servers will be divided into 1 Combat Zone. There will be 40 camps in each Combat Zone, with five final winners gaining the right to control the remaining Shelter Lands. Up to 8 camps will be contested for each Shelter Land.

A round of knockout matches will take place daily from February 8 to 10 for each Shelter Land, 8 to 4, 4 to 2, and finally 2 to 1, with the champion taking command of the Shelter Land.

Final Battle Preparation

Two opposing camps will occupy an instanced battle map on each side during the 3-day knockout matches and earn battle points by defeating the opposing players and occupying strongholds—the first Camp to hit the number of battle points needed triumphs.

At 11:00 a.m. daily, a world boss will appear. A server's players must cooperate in slaying it. The top 4 servers that beat the boss in the fastest time will win helicopters for the Camp representing their server in the SL Showdown, giving them an advantage in the occupation battles.

The participating Camps can join the battle map during the preparation period from 12:00 to 19:30 and start spending construction points on infrastructure within their occupied territory. The showdown will start at 20:00. Both sides need to attack at their best to earn more combat points. They can earn combat points by killing opposing players or by destroying their base console. Depending on the number of strongholds currently occupied by both sides, camps earn combat points every minute. At any moment, strongholds can change hands, and players need to be on their guard. Additional chances to gain combat points will appear some time into a match.

Occupy Shelter Lands, Protect Fellow Survivors

The final occupiers of the remaining five Shelter Lands will be decided after three rounds of elimination. The occupiers would be able to transfer their Camps to the Shelter Lands. A unique landscape, special supplies, and camp honors come to each Shelter Land.

Every Shelter Land's unique landscape will offer a new look to the Camp. To fit the season and surroundings of snow-capped mountains, mysterious swamplands, tropical islands, NPCs can also change clothing. Besides, there is a unique landmark for each Shelter Land. There are monuments of meritorious deeds in the Blaze Shelter Land, which record the history of man's brave resistance to natural disasters. The Swamp Shelter Land is overseen by the enigmatic angel goddess, while the Sand Shelter Land has the Sand Castle, there's a Tree House on the Snowfield Shelter Land, and so forth.

Each Shelter Land's unique weather and terrain result in various plants and animals restricted to that climate. Players will collect precious matsutake in the Snowfield Shelter Land and meet leisurely yaks. Sand Shelter Land is a treasure trove located along the oasis banks for wild strawberries; players must keep an eye out for hungry Corsac foxes. In these places, there is something different for all to discover and find.
