Bren sweeps Paper Rex 3-0, wins 2021 VCT Challengers SEA Grand Finals

Bren Esports will be the first PH team to enter Valorant Champions Tour Stage 3 Masters after winning the VCT Challengers 3 - SEA Grand Finals against Singapore's Paper Rex with a clean sweep 3-0 this Sunday evening.

Philippines' Bren Esports dominated the Singaporean squad across three maps — Bind, Split, and Icebox — to claim the 2021 VCT Challengers 3 - SEA championship title.

Bren started Game 1 with Astra, Killjoy, Raze, Sova, and Phoenix lineup. It was a seesaw fight between the two teams, but eventually, Bren emerged victorious in Bind with a 16-14 round win, leading the series 1-0.

Game 2 was still in favor of Bren. Now with Astra, Killjoy, Jett, Sage, Reyna on their composition, the team managed to end a grueling match in the Split map selected by Paper Rex with a 14-12 round win, taking a commanding 2-0 streak in the series.

Bren Esports took a fast game in the first 4 rounds of the first half of Game 3 in the team-chosen Icebox map. Paper Rex retaliated in the first parts of the second half by taking the first 3 of 4 rounds. With Viper, Sage, Jett, Sova, and Reyna lineup, Bren ended the series with a 13-6 score, making a clean sweep 3-0 triumph.

PH's Bren Esports made good use of their technical timeouts throughout the three games to plan their attacks properly.

With their victory in the 2021 VCT Stage 3 - SEA Playoffs, Bren Esports bagged USD 25,000 (around PHP 1.2 million), the biggest share in the USD 100,000 prize pool. They also earned a spot in the upcoming Valorant Masters 3, which will be held in Verti Music Hall in Berlin, Germany, on September 9, 2021. Update: Bren Esports out of Valorant Masters Berlin due to visa issues.

Meanwhile, the Paper Rex squad grabbed USD 15,000 from the prize pool and qualified for the VCT 2021: Stage 3 Masters - Berlin.
