Rurouni Kenshin es una adaptación en 2012 del popular manga de Nobuhiro Watsuki del mismo nombre.

Dirigida por Keishi Otomo, la película está protagonizada por Sato Takeru y Takei Emi.

La película se centra en hechos ficticios que tienen lugar a principios del periodo Meiji en Japón. Cuenta la historia de un vagabundo llamado Kenshin Himura, antes conocido como el asesino "Hitokiri Battōsai". Después de participar en la guerra Bakumatsu, Kenshin vaga por el campo de la protección que ofrece Japón y ayuda a los necesitados como expiación por los asesinatos que una vez cometió.
