Free Fire 'Illuminate' Update: new weapon, new map, more

Garena has rolled out the latest patch dubbed "Illuminate" for Free Fire and Free Fire Max. This update brings a new weapon Charge Buster, a new matchmaking function in Craftland, updates to in-game characters, and more. Check out the highlights of the Illuminate patch.

Free Fire and Free Fire Max

Below are the updates released for both Free Fire and Free Fire Max.

Character

• Skyler: A hold-to-aim function has been added to the skill button for better precision.
• Olivia: Increased the extra HP available to revived teammates.
• Maxim: Reduced the time required to use Med Kits.
• Xayne: Increased skill active time, improved Gloo Wall damage, and decreased cooldown.

Clash Squad

• New map: Alpine map has been added to Clash Squad, and Clash Squad ranked modes.
• New areas: The Bermuda map has been updated with the addition of two new areas, Hangar and Nurek Dam.
• Map balance adjustments: Bermuda map adjustments in Katulistiwa, Mars Electric, and Mill.
• Bonus airdrop: Every round in the classic Clash Squad mode, an airdrop will land on the map.

Battle Royale

• Dam area rework: Bermuda's Nurek Dam area was added. The Bermuda map has been remastered.
• Safe zone: Time and speed of the first few safe zone shrinks have been adjusted to increase the pace of each match in classic Battle Royale mode.
• Optimizations: Players who parachute following revival will receive a level 1 helmet, a level 1 vest, and a G18. They will also default to facing towards the safe zone.

Weapon and Equipment

• New weapon: Charge Buster was released.
• Weapon adjustments: Weapons, including M1014, SPAS12, M1887, MAG-7, UMP, MP5, MP40, P90, Thompson, MAC10, Mini Uzi, Vector, M500, SCAR, AUG, Kingfisher, Flashbang, were adjusted.
