PUBG Mobile 1.8 Update brings Spider-Man collab, new map, more

Krafton has released the Version 1.8 Update for PUBG Mobile, bringing the Spider-Man collaboration, new map, new matchmaking system, basic mechanic improvements, and more. Check out the highlights below.

New Matchmaking System

Ranked and Unranked modes are now separated. Players can enjoy the unranked match without the fear of losing Rating Points.

Unranked includes Classic Mode, Arena Mode, and other modes. Meanwhile, Ranked includes Classic Mode.

Ranked and Unranked Classic Mode both count towards BP mission and Achievement progress.

The new update introduces Ranked Classic Mode Team Range Limit. Bronze Tier up to Platinum Tier can freely team up together. Diamond Tier and above can only team up with those within two full tiers of each other.

New Classic Mode Map: Aftermath

Aftermath is a reimagined version of Livik. Bombs and volcanic eruptions have entirely altered the map's terrain, giving it a rugged appearance.

With the advancement of technology, all weapons have been equipped with an AC Core Module, making the guns more stable and easier to aim through. Additionally, all characters have been provided with Tactical Glasses that display the damage inflicted to opponents.

The latest patch also brings a new zip line, which simplifies rotations. The urban area's size and density of play zones have been reduced as well, making it easier to spot enemies.

Moreover, the new recall system gives all players one chance to revive teammates. This is accomplished by locating Recall Towers to recall teammates.

Basic Mechanic Improvements

Here are some of the basic mechanic improvements in the PUBG Mobile Patch 1.8.

Weapons, including MG3, M16A4, and MK47, were rebalanced.

New features were also added, including the Near-death swimming, Hit marker, Map marker, and Auto-jump.

PUBG Mobile x Spider-Man crossover

The highly anticipated Spider-Man: No Way Home crossover has arrived in Update 1.8. The superhero has finally made his way to PUBG Mobile. In this mode, players can battle the boss alongside Spider-Man and use web-shooters to slow down enemies.
