Netflix's DOTA: Dragon's Blood Release Date in the Philippines

Online video streaming platform Netflix has announced it is releasing a new anime series based on Dota 2, the highly popular MOBA game from Valve, titled "DOTA: Dragon's Blood," that will launch on March 25, 2021, globally, and will be available exactly at 3 PM, in the Philippines.

DOTA: Dragon's Blood is composed of 8 episodes. The anime series will focus on several known DOTA characters, including Davion, the Dragon Knight, and Mirana, the Princess of the Moon. Davion, a renowned warrior committed to wiping out the Scourge faction, faces an ancient dragon race known as eldwurm and is inevitably dragged into a preeminent conflict alongside Mirana, who is on a secret mission of her own.

Ashley Edward Miller, script co-writer for X-Men: First Class and Thor, will serve as showrunner and executive producer. Ashley Miller also produced Black Sails, Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, Fringe, and Andromeda.

Studio MIR, the South Korean animation studio company responsible for Mortal Kombat Legends: Revenge of the Scorpion, The Legend of Korra, Voltron: Legendary Protector, Kipo and the Wonderbeasts Era, and The Death of Superman, is handling the animation. Ryu Ki Hyun, a South Korean TV director of animated cartoons, will serve as co-executive producer.

DOTA 2, released by Valve in 2013, is a sequel to the original Defense of the Ancients (DOTA), a mod for Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos (2002) and its expansion, The Frozen Throne.
