MPL Philippines Season 9 will have a new playoff format as well as expanded guidelines for assistant coaches, announced by the league on Saturday.
Of 8 participating teams in Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League (MPL) Philippines Season 9, the top six will compete in the playoffs.
According to MPL Philippines, the 1st seed will determine the placement of the 3rd and 4th ranked team in the first round of the playoffs.
Meanwhile, the 3rd seed will decide the placement of the 5th and 6th ranked team in the first round.
First and second-seeded squads automatically secure slots in the second round of the playoffs.
Moreover, teams can now have up to three assistant coaches. An assistant coach may join the head coach in the drafting phase of every match. Moreover, an assistant coach can substitute as head coach.
